Summer Senior High Trip

  A Week of Service

August 9th- 14th

       For 2010 the Senior High youth will be traveling all over the greater Philadelphia local region. They will have opportunities to serve in numerous local ministries by serving meals, collecting toys for young children, painting, cleaning and sharing their servants heart. At the end of the week they will be traveling up to the Pocono mountains to share in a time of devotion and reflection on their week. On Saturday, August 14th, students will have the opportunity to work as a single team as they go white water rafting in the Lehigh Valley.

  

A WEEK OF SERVICE SCHEDULE                                         

Monday- Ronald McDonald House, NJ

Tuesday- City Team, Chester, PA

Wednesday- Ronald McDonald House, Philadelphia, PA

Thursday- Home Helpers, Media, PA

Friday- Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield, PA

Saturday- White Water Rafting in the Lehigh Valley     

      

Total Cost for the Week of Service    $75.00

        Students will receive a $50.00 credit if they serve all week

  

Jr. High Summer Camp

July 11th- 17th

  

      

In July of 2010, the Jr. High will once again return to Camp Orchard Hills for a fun filled week long retreat. Hundreds of Jr. High youth will be joining them in the Pocono Mountains for a time of fellowship and to grow in their personal walks with their God. Special guest speakers will make them laugh, cry and challenge the teens to live a life that is completely different to today's world. Combine all of this with events like horse back riding, basketball, flag football, go carts, paintball, climbing walls, swimming, rocketry and many others, and you begin to understand why it is one of the best investments in today's youth.

Total Cost for C.O.H 2010    $399.00

    Registration forms and $50.00 Deposits are due by May 15th

 

Students will have the opportunity to help offset the cost of camp through many of the financial aid opportunities available through Springfield Baptist Church & Camp Orchard Hills. Please Call the church office or Pastor Bob Davalt to request information on how you can apply for these financial aids and send your student for this life changing week of camp.

 

 Winter Retreat

        This is the weekend trip that both Jr. High & Sr. High looks forward to. Getting away for 2 ½ days with God, our friends and a time to reflect and grow in our personal walks. In January of 2010 the youth will be going to Camp Orchard Hills. This large lake front camp is located in the beautiful Pocono mountains away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Along with personal daily devotions, nightly youth rally's and live music, special guest speakers will inspire and challenge today's youth to be a beacon of hope in their homes, schools and with their friends. The youth will also enjoy paint ball, tube-O-wrestling, racing zip lines, climbing walls and tons of time to just hang with Christian friends in a fun and loving atmosphere.
